About

I was studying in Kent when my first dog found me. Ben was an 11 year old lurcher who had been abandoned and remained my most loyal friend until I lost him to bone cancer 4 years later. Ben was a quite remarkable dog who started my great love affair with lurchers and other longdogs, hence the name for Longdog Art.

Having had a life-long passion for animals, I was lucky enough to study Veterinary Medicine at Cambridge University and qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2008.   I am currently based in Hertfordshire and work as an equine vet.

I have always drawn and painted for pleasure. Positive feedback and encouragement from friends and family helped me to decide to start a new business painting portraits on a commission basis.
